A series of images relating to and surrounding the sale of MG Rover by BMW and the subsequent changes at the then largest UK motor manufacturer. It had been hoped to include an interview and portrait of John Towers, CBE of the Phoenix Consortium but he declined. My clients brief was that I should shoot black and white, use strong lighting and get all models to do something with their hands.

On a Saturday morning outside a house in a Midlands commuter town. This was the second time we had met so I already knew him as talkative, informative and easy to get along with. Outside, from a low angle and using mixed lighting was the only way to go here and I feel that it worked very well.
